Dennis Joseph McNicholl

Winston-Salem - Mr. Dennis Joseph McNicholl, 90, passed away on July 11, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Dennis was born on January 31, 1926 in County Antrim, Ireland to Dennis McNicholl and Anna O'Brien McNicholl. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Dennis loved sailing as well as hiking and statistics. He was co-founder of Annapolis Sailing School; and enjoyed racing with the Annapolis Yacht Club. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bernadette Ruck. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 40 plus years, Marion; son, Timothy McNicholl (Susan); grandchildren, Xavier and Jack McNicholl. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 18, 2016 at Salisbury National Cemetery.
