Dennis Bradley Hale

WINSTON SALEM-Dennis B. Hale, 65, passed away after a long illness September 9, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born in Buffalo, NY, and was the son of the late Harold W. Hale and Eleanor Gordon Hale Barrick.

Mr. Hale was a member of Wendover Hills Church.

Following his graduation from Hamburg (NY) High School, Dennis entered the Air Force and served in Brindisi, Italy and Texas.

He then graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master's Degree in Horticulture.

Prior to his retirement, he worked in the agricultural chemical divisions first at Dow-Elanco and then at Sygenta in Greensboro.

Dennis was an avid African Violet grower and enthusiast and was an active member of the Piedmont-Triad African Violet Society in Greensboro.

Surviving are his son, Bradley J. Hale of Canton, GA; daughter, Lindsay Hale Kozlowski of Acworth, GA; three grandchildren, Aidan and Addison Hale and Emily Kozlowski; brother Rick Hale (Mimi) of Charlotte; and nieces, Tracey Hale Simmet and Jennifer Hale Ray, both of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
