Dennis Keith Annas, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 17, 2023. Dennis was born on March 31, 1948 in Granite Falls, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Hughes Annas and Ola Mae White Annas. and his brother, Donald Max Annas.
He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 53 years, Gwendolyn Miles Annas of the home. One daughter, Amanda Annas (Marc Little) of Arcadia, two sons, Jonathan (Mary Jo) Annas of Mocksville, and Jason (Candy) Annas of Thomasville, and “sister” -in-law, Linda Annas of Cary. He has 11 grandchildren that he loved very much; Hunter Annas, Caroline Annas, Faith Annas, Carley Annas, Coleman Annas, Charlie Annas, Jathan Annas, Heather Mackie, Cameron Mackie, Holly (Jacob) Brooks, and Corbin Mackie, 2 great granddaughters, Chloe and Remi and many nieces and nephews.
Dennis is a member of New Friendship Baptist Church, where he served on the “Wednesday Bunch” cooking crew. He previously served as a Deacon at Cornerstone Baptist Church, and in the Children’s Ministry at Cornerstone Baptist Church and Antioch Baptist Church.
He loved fishing, woodworking/carving, spoiling his grandkids, “playing in the dirt” with his plants and flowers, bargain shopping, and had a weakness for babies and dogs. He worked hard providing for his family in multiple facets including Owner of American Home Emporium, Microfibres Incorporated, General Manager of Winston-Salem Red Sox Baseball Team, owner and operator of Macramé Galore, and several other occupations.
“A Celebration of Life” service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, 4pm at New Friendship Baptist Church located at 4258 Old Lexington Rd. in Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Hayworth Miller Funeral Home located at 3315 Silas Creek Parkway Winston-Salem, NC 27103. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cornerstone Quartet to further their music ministry in serving Jesus. You can send checks to New Friendship Baptist Church made out to the “ Cornerstone Quartet”.
