KERNERSVILLE - Deloris Mae ""Lois"" Bowman Knott, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 9, 2012. She passed away in her home. Lois was born July 14, 1937 in Corinne, WV to the late Jason Hughes and Fannie Cordelia Stidhams Bowman. In addition to her parents Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Reece Knott, two brothers Jimmy Bowman and Robert Bowman, and one sister, Betty Pack. Lois was also preceded in death by three dearly beloved grand-dogs, Beth, Shasta, and Symin. Lois is survived by her daughters, Jocelyn ""Alex"" Miller of the home, Carol Pegram and husband, Doug, and Sheila Adams and husband, Monty as well as granddaughters Jessica Morris and husband Josh, Kesta Moyer and boyfriend Daniel Quick, Lacey Pegram, Angel Kunsman and husband, Chad, and Rhiana Adams. Lois is also survived by great granddaughters Audrienna Stewart, Kaden Pegram, Kaylee Kunsman, Anya Quick, and Madelyn Pegram. Lois also leaves behind six very special grand-dogs, Abby, Jake, Dazy-Mae, Precious, Sunshine, and Scrappy Doo. Additionally Lois is survived by her dearly loved sister, Lou Ellen Gunter and husband Sammy, two nephews Steve Gunter and wife Laura, daughter Megan; and David Gunter, daughters Kayla, Juliana, Jordan, and Abby. Lois is also survived by two brothers Eddie Bowman and Charlie Bowman, wife Linda and many other nieces and nephews. Because of the outstanding care of Lois's doctors, Dr. David Defeo from Salem Chest Specialists and Victoria Nnadi at Forsyth Internal Medicine along with Hospice of the Piedmont, Lois's sister, Lou Ellen, and friends from The Bridge especially Sam Thomas, Lois was able to spend her remaining days on this earth at home. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 13, 2012 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Jim Graham officiating. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. at Skyline Memory Gardens in Mt. Airy. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 P.M. Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the funeral home.
