Delores Cordell Harris

Mrs. Delores Christeen Pennington Cordell Harris, 85, passed away June 19, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 2, 1929 in Princeton, WV to the late Clarence Eugene Pennington and Dolly Virginia Hash Pennington. She was a member of North Pointe Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a member of the Women's Auxiliary. Mrs. Harris was a graduate of Princeton High School and retired from Western Electric/AT&T Network Systems with 24 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Charlie Cordell and subsequently by her second husband, Adrian E. Harris. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Carroll Eugene Pennington. Mrs. Harris is survived by her children, Judith C. Martin and husband Jerry, William C. Cordell, Jr., and Pamela C. Ensley and husband Danny; a step-son, Timothy Harris; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Martin and wife Bronwen, Jeremy Martin, William C. Cordell III, Jennifer Christeen Goonan and husband Brien, and Brian Thomas Russell; four great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Martin, Rhys Martin, Eire C. Goonan, and Rex David Russell; two sisters, Ola Mae Beene and Brenda M. Montiero; a half-sister, Juanita Ratliff; a brother, Jeffrey Lynn Pennington and wife Tonya. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at North Pointe Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Darrell L. Green officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at 12:00pm, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV.
