Delores Estelle Williard Brendle

Mrs. Delores Estelle Williard Brendle, 86 of Winston-Salem and more recently a resident of Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville died Thursday, November 12, 2015 after several months of declining health. She was born November 8, 1929 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Flay Edward Williard, Sr. and Carrie Estelle Lindsay Williard. Mrs. Brendle was a member of Hopewell Moravian Church and was retired from Kroger following ten years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton T. Brendle, Sr., her brother, Flay Edward Williard, Jr. and her sister, Emma Jean Hubbard. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include one son, Milton T. (Butch) Brendle, Jr. and wife, April of Clemmons; two daughters, Margaret Stone and husband, Michael of Thomasville and Denise Dodson of Greensboro; five grandchildren, Farrah, Brandon, Dustin, Ashley and wife, Sherra and Ryan and wife, Mallory; three great grandchildren, Jayden, Seth and River. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 4:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Walter C. Bishop officiating. Interment will take place on Monday at 11:00 AM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hopewell Moravian Church, 701 Hopewell Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
