Delmer "Bo" Wayne Jones

Mr. Delmer ""Bo"" Wayne Jones, 64, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 17, 2016. Bo was born to Berna Edward and Elza Combs Jones in Mt. Airy, November 12, 1951. He graduated in 1970 from North Forsyth High School. Bo worked for Paragon Food Center, Food City, and retired after 36 years of service as a butcher from Harris Teeter. He enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music, spending time with his family, and was an avid golfer. Bo was a wonderful husband, dad, and papaw. Delmer was preceded in death by his father and brother, Dennis W. Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie Kiser Jones; a daughter, Carrie Renee Jones; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Wayne and Casey Jones; and the light of his life, grandchildren, Landon and Madelyn, all of King. He is also survived by his mom, Elza of Winston-Salem; three siblings: Gail (Gary) Leftwich, Danny Jones both of Cana, VA, and Charlotte Jones of Myrtle Beach; twelve nephews and nieces; twelve great nephews and nieces; and three great-great nephews and niece. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 21, at Marshall Baptist Church, 5739 Old Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106, with Pastor John Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 to 9 pm on Wednesday, April 20. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Phillips and the nursing staff on the 9th floor of Forsyth Medical Center for their special care and support during his stay and also the loving care and attention he received while at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marshall Baptist Church or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
