Delmar Jake Revis

Delmar Jake Revis, died unexpectedly at his home on Thurday, December 17, 2009. He was born on December 23, 1938 to Jacob Ambrose Revis and Jean Young Revis. He was preceeded in death by his parents, his brother Bobby Revis, sister Carol Beckerdite and most recently on September 18, 2009 by his beloved daughter Robin Blackburn. He attended Hanes Baptist Church. He was retired from Merita Bakery and Royal Cake Company. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gail Hines Revis of the home. A son Jeff and wife Debbie Revis of Monroe, daughters Michelle Dial a special friend Rodney Lovell and Tracy Myers and Husband Barry; grandsons Zachary Dial, Josh Revis, Jacob Whitaker and Jake Revis; step grandsons Jesse and Jamie; Granddaughters Jessica Spivey and Fiance Chris Sheffeld and Katlyn Revis; great granddaughters Emily and Abby; brothers Bill Revis and wife Geri and Doug Stedmom and wife Rene; mother-in-law Frances Rawlins; his former son-in-law Hubert Whitaker; a special nephew Billy Ray Revis and wife Cathy; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday December 20, 2009 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Dr. Harold Fletcher and Rev. John White officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Parklawn.
