Delma Pope Beamon

Mrs. Delma Pope Beamon, 92, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Clemmons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 4, 1918 in Forsyth County to Bertha Casey Pope and Floyd W. Pope. Mrs. Beamon was a member of Trinity Friends Church and retired from P.H. Hanes Knitting after 50 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilburn Beamon, five sisters and two brothers. Surviving are her daughter, Jerrie B. Sizemore (Walter Ray) of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Donna Foster (John) of Ocala, FL and, Keith Rothrock of Winston-Salem; five great grandchildren, Santo Nicita (Amanda), Joseph Nicita, Taylor Foster and Justin and Cody Rothrock and one great great grandson, Anthony Santo Nicita. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at Trinity Friends Church in Lewisville with Dr. Robin G. Dixon, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
