Dell Conrad Johnson

Mrs. Dell Conrad Johnson, 82, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022. She was born August 25, 1939, in Forsyth County to the late Ralph and Lillian Conrad. Dell, a retired principal, was a career educator who taught thousands of students in the WSFCS system over an enjoyable career that started in 1961. After retirement, Dell continued to help others in the community by volunteering in different events and activities. She regularly volunteered her time at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and Forsyth Hospital. Dell was a proud graduate of High Point University in which she continued to take part in and give her time and energy back to throughout her life. She also had great pleasure in helping with the James A. Gray High School Alumni, where she graduated high school. Dell was always very active in her church and community. She loved her family and loved to travel. Dell often took her great nephews with her when they were younger. In addition to her parents, Dell was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Johnson and brother, Ronald Conrad. She is survived by her nephew, Randy Conrad (Libby); two great-nephews, Richard Conrad and Allen Conrad; niece, Tiffany Briggs; and sister-in-law, Brenda Conrad. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Craig Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 11:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
