Della Rae Rhodes 'Granny' Ruble

Mrs. Della Rae Rhodes Ruble ""Granny"", 83, of Winston-Salem, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born August 22, 1927 in Bluefield, WV. Mrs. Ruble was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Joseph Elswick, her second husband, William Frazier Ruble and her son-in-law, Dennis Freeman. Survivors include three daughters, Jo Elswick and Margaret Ruble of Winston-Salem and Dorothy Freeman of Kingsport, TN; four grandchildren, Patty Elswick and Deborah Elswick of Winston-Salem, Tony Freeman and wife, Jessica of Kingsport, TN and April Froelich and husband, Tierney of San Diego, CA and one brother, Marvin Rhodes of MO. The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 6:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Mr. Anthony D. Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
