Della Mae Mitchell Oldson

Mrs. Della Mae Mitchell Oldson, 81, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born on February 22, 1933 in Saltville, VA to Scott B. Mitchell and Lola Fields Mitchell. Mrs. Oldson was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and was a seniors volunteer at the King Recreational Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert H. Oldson, Sr.; daughter, Phyllis Houchins. Surviving is one daughter, Gail Boles and husband Timothy of King; three sons, Tim Oldson and wife Rita, Michael Oldson of Myrtle Beach, SC, J.R. Oldson of Rural Hall; thirteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; one brother, James Mitchell; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating.
