Mrs. Deborah “Sheila” Thompson Laughlin, 61, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  She was born July 26, 1958 in Glade Springs, WV.  Sheila had worked at Office Depot and has volunteered at the Humane Society, Samaritan Ministries and many other places in the area.  She enjoyed graphic arts, painting and gardening. An interesting person, Shelia was motivated, strong-willed and kind.  She is preceded in death by her father and two grandchildren, Alex and Briana Richardson.  Survivors include her husband, Bill Laughlin; two daughters. Angela Richardson of Winston-Salem and Katie Tribble of Pfafftown; a son, Matthew Laughlin of Winston-Salem; a granddaughter, Kaleigh Thomas of Pfafftown; her mother Mary Bowen of King; a sister, Mildred Shinault and two brothers, Fred and Howard Thompson.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 17, 2020 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. Think how she must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. Think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.”
