Deborah "Debby" Ann Pauley Eads was a loving wife, mommy, nanny, sister, and friend. Born on December 10, 1957 in Lebanon, Virginia to Harry Edward Sr. and Ella Jane Pauley, she went on ahead to heaven on December 20, 2023. Preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Nancy Pauley and Rebecca Jane Neal, Debby is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Steve Wayne Eads of King, NC and her precious canine companion, Sassy Mae. She also leaves her two children, Shannan Michelle Hairston of Winston-Salem and Joe Dawayne Eads of Mt. Airy. Debby was a proud "Nanny" to 7 grandchildren: Stephen Eads(Laney), Kenya Meaux(Matthew), Jasmine Hairston, Christian Eads, Aaliyah Eads(Brennon), Miracle Eads, and Mya Sawyers, as well as 4 great-grandchildren: Jack and Kip Eads, KriShae "Skeeter Bug" Hairston, and soon to arrive Elijah Walter Meaux. Additionally, Debby is survived by two brothers, Harry Edward Pauley Jr. and Randy Dale Pauley(Misty), both of VA, numerous nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends. Debby's most treasured moments were spent cuddling with her third baby, Sassy Mae, while appreciating a good western. She was an avid reader who loved her Bible and romance novels. She loved to sing and had an angelic voice. She enjoyed beautiful nails and visiting with her family and friends. From family and friends, to coworkers and even strangers, Debby was caring and nurturing to all who ever knew her. Her feisty, protective nature was evident to those she loved, and to truly know Debby, was to love her in return. Although she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed, her family takes comfort in knowing that she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Visitation will take place at Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek Chapel, on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 1:00pm, followed by a Chapel Service at 2:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall at 2:00pm. Services will be officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Jones.
