WILMINGTON-Deborah Arlene Latham, 56 passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Hospital in Wilmington, NC surrounded by her dear friends and family.
Deborah is now at Peace with her loved ones that preceded her to heaven.
She was born December 29, 1958 in GuilfordCo. to the late Ruby Pegram Latham and Marvin Latham.
All people loved Deborah, as she was the MOST unselfish, loving, cheerful person even to strangers. Her family and friends were her deep passion. She accomplished countless goals as an actress, wardrobe supervisor and costume designer while pursuing her childhood dream of working on and in dozens of movies, commercials and live dramas. A few of the movies she worked on were; The Color of Purple, The Last of The Mohicans, Talladega Nights, Bull Durham, Speed 1 and Speed 2 and The Waterboy. Deborah was highly sought after in the movie industry and trained many of the wardrobe and costume staff currently working in the industry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and grandmother, Clinton Odell and Annie Perdew Pegram, and her adopted father, Robert Glenn ""Buddy"" Hemrick.
Surviving are her godmother and aunt, Zora Pegram Hemrick; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins and godchildren.
A Celebration of Deborah's Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Belews Creek Baptist Church Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her mother and other family members.
