Deborah Kathleen âDebbie"" Kidd, age 54 passed away on March 21, 2014 at Brian Nursing Home in Lexington, NC. She was born in Bluefield, WV on January 7, 1960. Debbie is being welcomed home in heaven by her mother Leona Kidd; her sister, Jeanne Brown Holcomb; and her brothers, Homer Brown, Jr. and Bill Brown. Left to mourn her passing are her sister, Patsy Wojahn; and her brother in law, Howard Holcomb, whom she lovingly called Uncle Howard and was more of a father to her. She also is survived by a dear nephew, Richard Holcomb and dear friends, Fred ""Frank"" Rubeck and Wes ""Frank"" Quainteance. She leaves behind two loving sisters-in-law, Mary Brown and Pat Buston; nieces, Kim Yates, Kelly Bass, and Heather Mathena all of Virginia; and a nephew, Russell Brown of Louisiana. Debbie's sparkling eyes and big grin will be greatly missed. She never met a stranger and she always spread God's Love with open arms. She was a great teacher of what's important in life. She was a constant source of inspiration. Debbie will be sorely missed by all of those who loved her. This includes her friends and staff (that she considered family) from the Rouses Group Home in Stoneville, NC. At Rouses she lived a life of dignity and purpose with love surrounding her. A funeral service will be conducted 4:00 pm Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 pm in the Chapel. Donations in Memory of Debbie may be made to the Rouses Group Home, Stoneville, NC
