Deborah "Chris" Currin

KERNERSVILLE-Deborah Christine ""Chris"" Butler Currin, 59, a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at her home. She was born March 16, 1955 in Guilford Co.

Chris loved traveling, crafts and animals; she especially loved her birds and dogs, but had a soft spot in her heart for greyhounds. She was very active in the republican election polls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward W. and Barbara Joyner.

Surviving are her husband, Ray Currin; children, Joy Wyant(Jeff Smith), Michael Wyant (Jay Worthington), Andy Wyant(Danielle), Jason Currin (Lisa) and Shawn Currin; sister, Kathi Torok (Dan); brother, Allen Joyner (Ann); eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and her very special grandmother, Virginia Joyner who just celebrated her 100th birthday.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Larry Hatfield and Rev. David Terriaco officiating. Interment will follow in Westminster Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the funeral home.
