DeAnne Pratt Mitchell

Mrs. DeAnne Pratt Mitchell, age 82 of Lewisville passed away, Wednesday, September 6, 2023.  She was born June 16, 1941 in Forsyth County to the late O. Hugh Pratt and Hazel Sills Pratt. DeAnne was a graduate of The University of Tennessee and a member of Knollwood Baptist Church. She loved caring about people, especially her family. She was a giver and her love will continue on in the lives of many people. DeAnne enjoyed family activities, trips to Surfside Beach, SC, shopping, working with her plants and most of all doting on her grandsons.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Jane LeAnne Mitchell and two sisters, Judy Lynn Hood and Cynthia Jane Bryant.  Surviving are her husband, James “Mason” Mitchell, one daughter, Lynn Mitchell Sonafrank (Chris) of Lewisville and two grandchildren, Nathan and Grant Sonafrank.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 11, 2023 at Forsyth Memorial Park. Mrs. Mitchell will lie in state from 2:00 -5:00 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank, ASPCA or Knollwood Baptist Church.   Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
