David “Keith” Lee, age 54, husband to Jennifer Rebecca “Becky” Lee and father of Nicholas (16) and Brycen (10) Lee. Keith passed away peacefully in his home on March 7, 2023, after a 3 ½ year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Mesa, AZ January 31, 1969, to his late mother, Judith Lynn Shumway and his father David Ryan Lee. In 2005 he and Becky married, then in 2008 they, with their first son Nicholas moved to Kernersville, NC. In 2014 they welcomed Brycen into their home. Keith was a well-loved test engineer and co-worker for the past 15 years at Qorvo/Triquint Semiconductors, in Greensboro. Keith was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, having a firm testimony of his Savior Jesus Christ. He served in various capacities in the church, including Bishop, seminary teacher, and Boy Scout leader. Keith’s hobbies included being an avid reader, history buff, and lover of his pets throughout the years. He also enjoyed dabbling in woodworking and was in a constant state of fixing, building, and improving his home, mostly for his wife’s pleasure. He was a vacation planner extraordinaire, who truly enjoyed making special memories with his family! His favorite food, hands-down, was popcorn, with (non-chocolate) candy a close second. Most of all Keith was a loving husband, father, son, and brother.
Keith was preceded in death by paternal grandparents and his maternal grandmother. He is survived by his loving wife Becky Lee, his 2 sons Nicholas and Brycen Lee, his father David Ryan Lee (Colleen), his grandfather Lynn Andrew Shumway (Dorothy), his eight brothers and sisters: Wendi Anderson (Mark), Ken Lee (Lisa), Becky Torres (David), Cori Taylor (Cliff), Scott Lee (Melanie) Robert Lee (Erika), Bryce Lee (Alexa), and Elyse Hyatt (David), four step sisters, many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and also his mother-in-law Diane M. Sellars, who resides in the family home.
