David Kent Vernon

Mr. David Kent Vernon, 55 of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at his home. He was born December 26, 1955 in Winston-Salem to Paul Milburn Vernon, Sr. and Joan Williams Vernon. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Paul Milburn Vernon, Jr. Survivors include his mother of Winston-Salem; his nephew, Donald Paul Vernon of Greensboro; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth E. ""Betsy"" Vernon of Pfafftown; his uncle, John W. Vernon and wife, Helen of Rural Hall; his aunt, Nan P. Vernon of Winston-Salem and a number of special cousins. A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 AM at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons with Rev. Scott Vernon officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, P. O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
