David Rufus Sheets, Jr.

Mr. David Rufus Sheets Jr., 90, of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 22, 2017. David was born July 23, 1926, in Forsyth County to David and Lillian Sheets. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from AT&T after many years of faithful service. In his free time, David was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Clarice M. Tucker; sister, Katie S. Harpe and brother, James R. Sheets. David is survived by his sisters, Lois S. Jones, Ellen S. Hunter and Edith S. Tesh; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
