David Eugene Reavis

Mr. David Eugene Reavis, 56, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016.

David was born October 1, 1959 in Forsyth County. In his free time, David enjoyed camping and boating, especially water skiing. He also enjoyed reading and loved to learn and had a passion for lighthouses. The things that David loved most in life were his wife and his business, Dare Machine & Repair, Inc. He was well-known for his ability to fix anything and could often be heard saying ""When you pull up to my toolbox, consider it fixed"". David was preceded in death by his father, Ollie Thomas Reavis.

Left to cherish the memory of David are his wife, April Vinson Reavis; mother and stepfather, Fran and Dickie Messick; stepson, Greg Garland and wife Amy; brother, Tom Reavis and girlfriend Jackie; sister, Debbie Morris and husband, John; nephew, Jason Messick and family; niece, Jamie Oswell and family; aunt, Robbie Ledford; and uncle, Ralph Woodruff and wife Joann.

A celebration of David's life will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11 am at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends Friday, June 24, 2016 from 6 - 8 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
