David Lee Powell

WALKERTOWN - Mr. David Lee Powell, 54, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. David was born on April 2, 1959 in Forsyth County to Scotty Lee and Ruth Holcomb Powell. He was a member of the Kernersville Moose Lodge 2181 and was a Project Development Manager at Varco Pruden for over 35 years. David was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his wife, Deborah, of the home; two daughters, Susan Raye (Eric Lee) Clendenen of Elkin and Sarah Jo Powell of Greensboro; and two grandsons, Gage Lee and Ashton Xavier Clendenen. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
