David Clyde Pfaff

PFAFF Mr. David Clyde Pfaff, 93, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Arbor Acres. He was born September 14, 1916 in Forsyth County to Jefferson Hoke and Maude Transou Pfaff. Mr. Pfaff was a member of Union United Methodist Church for over 70 years where he was extremely involved in church as treasurer, and serving on the building committee and finance committee. He traveled extensively seeing 49 states, and loved yard work. He loved R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and the people he had worked with through the years. He retired from #64 Cigarette Plant. Mr. Pfaff was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Ruby Pfaff; a daughter, Kay Pfaff Luck and son-in-law, Rex W. Luck; four brothers, J.P., Ralph, William and Wayne Pfaff; and two sisters, Doris Sprinkle and Stella Lewis. Surviving is a granddaughter, Angela Luck of Kernersville; a grandson, David Luck of Winston-Salem; one sister, Ruth Chandler of Kernersville; two great grandsons, Wesley Luck and Kenny Luck of Wendell; and a very special former granddaughter-in-law, Ann Luck of Wendell. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 1 at Union United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Albert and the Rev. Edwin Needham officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the Church Fellowship Hall on Monday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
