David E. Lunsford

Mr. David E. Lunsford ""PawPaw"", 65, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born November 16, 1950 in Forsyth County to the late Pearl Jones Lunsford and Reuben Eugene Lunsford. David retired from R. J. Reynolds with 36 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. David is survived by his wife, Sharon Boyles Lunsford; three children: Mitchell E. Lunsford, Nathan E. Lunsford (Lucy Treadwell), and Penny Lunsford Holston (Terry Thornton); three step-children; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three siblings. To honor David's wishes, there will be no formal service; however the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Forsyth County Animal Shelter, 5570 Strumer Park Circle, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
