David Leonard

Mr. David Allen Leonard, 70, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Chester Leonard and Carol Loner Leonard on December 26, 1951. Dave served his country in the United States Navy during The Vietnam War. He was an ER at 449 Elks Lodge in Winston-Salem, where he has many close friends. Dave enjoyed playing golf, bird watching and fishing at the beach. He is survived by his wife Freddie Leonard; children, David Hamby (Wendy) and Teresa Hamby; grandchildren, Kay, David, Alex, and Samantha; three great grandchildren; sister, Jacki Bridger (Eddie); brother, Gary Leonard; and many other family members. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Tim Duncan officiating.
