David Lonnie Hodges, 67 of Winston-Salem died Tuesday October 21, 2008 at his home. Mr. Hodges was born June 17, 1941 in Forsyth County, the son of the late David Hodges and the late Beulah Faw Hodges Lawson. Mr. Hodges was a veteran of the US Navy and the US Air Force, and was a retired correctional office in Kentucky. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Gail Arnold Hodges, sons, David Edward ""Eddie"" Hodges and wife Diane, Jeffery Lee Hodges and wife Teresa, step children, Donnie and Dawn Hodge, Terri and Chad Louch, Willie and Jessica Gould, and John J. Raley, sisters, Connie Myers, and Wanda Hawkins, and 8 grandchildren A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, October 24, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Ron Baity officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the VFW Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. (www.hayworth-miller.com)
