David Griffin Jr.

Mr. David Lee Griffin, Jr., 71, passed away Friday October 7, 2022. He was born February 5, 1951, in Stokes County to the late David Lee Griffin, Sr. and Mary Warren Griffin. After graduating from South Stokes High School in 1969, David began a 38-year career at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a special friend; Bill Whitaker. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Amelia Pugh Griffin, his two children; Kimberly Griffin and Mardy Griffin, Three grandchildren; Cerdwin Carter, Cooper Griffin, and Cambree Griffin, a sister; Linda Young (Mike), a special nephew Donald Young, and a special friend; Eddie Payne. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday October 12, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Jason Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday October 11, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
