David Alan Foltz, 75, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024. David was born in Forsyth County on February 10, 1949, to Herbert H. Foltz and Treva Anne Snyder Foltz. He graduated from Parkland High School and spent his career as a mechanic on small aircraft. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Moravian Church where he served as a diener, an usher and a board member. He was on the Scout Committee for many years and was inducted into the Order of the Arrow. His best-loved hobby was riding motorcycles. His favorite was the Honda Goldwing. In recent years he rode a Can-Am Spider because its three wheels kept him riding. He was also an amateur naturalist with an encyclopedic knowledge of animals in North Carolina. He is survived by his sisters, Marilyn Lamm and Carol Foltz; brother, John Foltz, all of Winston-Salem, NC; nieces, Dena Moore and Anne Crump; and nephew, Christopher Lamm. His memorial service will be held on Friday, May 17, at 2:00pm at Trinity Moravian Church with a committal service following at Salem Moravian Graveyard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Trinity Moravian Church Building Fund.
