David Douglas Ellender

David Douglas Ellender, 69, passed away on Friday April 14, 2023, at his home. He was born on July 3, 1953 to the late Joseph William Ellender and Imogene Matthews Ellender in Forsyth County, North Carolina. David retired from the Winston-Salem Forsyth County school district after working there as an electrician for 34 years. He was an active member of Triad Christian Fellowship Church and he loved doing things for others. David is preceded in death by his wife, Connie Ellender. He is survived by his Son Michael (Ashley) Ellender; grandchildren Dylan Ellender, Lexi Oakes, and Skylar Oakes; brother Joe Bill Ellender; three nephews Joe (Ashley) Ellender, James (Kelsey) Ellender, and Jeremy Ellender; and a special friend Beverly Asbell. A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Triad Christian Fellowship Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM prior to the service.
