David Dodson

Mr. David "Barry" Dodson, 64, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 20, 2017. He was born in Winston-Salem to the late Johnny and Juanita "Bo" Dodson, raised in Rural Hall, and eventually settled in Mooresville, NC. Barry knew at as early age that he wanted a career in racing. Through his many years of dedication and determination, Barry always took pride in his works as a talented NASCAR Crew Chief. While he had many accomplishments in his career, his greatest was winning the 1989 Winston Cup Championship with driver Rusty Wallace and a talented Crew. In addition to his parents Barry is preceded in death by his two children, Trey and Tia Dodson. He is survived by siblings: Bruce Dodson (Kay), Tamara Davis (Virgil), Matella Drum (Tommy), Bonita Trivette, John Dodson (Kelly), Brad Dodson, and Allison Brandon (Eric); and many loving nieces and nephews. Barry loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
