David Cox

Mr. David Norman Cox passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at his home in Advance, NC. He was born July 25, 1942 in Lynchburg, VA to the late Carl Matthew Cox and Doris McDaniel Cox. David graduated from the Medical College of Virginia in 1965 and finished his 1st Pharmacy career as Director of Professional Operations with Revco Drug. After retirement, he enjoyed a second Pharmacy career with Winston Salem Healthcare/Novant. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan Puckette Cox of the home; one son, Jeffrey David Cox (Aimee Fincher); one daughter, Kelly Suzanne Cox Jones (Barry Jones); three grandsons: Austen David Jones, Dylan Alexander Cox, and Colten Grey Jones and one granddaughter, Addyson Elizabeth Cox. David is also survived by his two brothers, Carl M Cox, Jr. and Barry R Cox. The family will receive family and friends at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel on: December 3, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM . David’s ashes will be scattered at Siesta Key (The family happy place) on a future date in a private service.
