David Arrington

David Wesley (or Wonderful, according to him) Arrington passed away on February 4, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.  David was born, January 17, 1942 in Winston Salem to Paul and Edith Arrington. He was the kindest, most loving man you could ever meet. David was very proud to be a US Army Vietnam Veteran where he served as MP and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He worked for over 35 years at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. David had a tremendous love and talent for music and could play most any musical instrument, though he loved the saxophone and guitar the most. Over the years he played in many bands, such as David Harp and the Walkers and Southwind. January 24, 1986, he married the love of his life, Jo Ann. They have two daughters Sherry (David) McGuire and Crystal (Paul) Spicer. His greatest thrill was spending time with his grandchildren Matt, Alli and Quinn and his little dog Louie (his buddy). He leaves behind many lifelong friends to which we are grateful. The family will hold a private memorial service.
