Dave Butkus

LewisvilleMr. Dave Butkus, 51, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012. He was born January 3, 1961 in Libertyville, Illinois to the late Alexander and Marjorie Sylvester Butkus. Dave was currently employed as an engineer at Hersey Meters Co. in Salisbury, NC. He was a very loving husband and father. Dave had a generous spirit, always putting others first. He had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed cooking. Dave loved Halloween so much, he and Robin were married on that day. They always decorated their home for the holiday even turning it into a haunted house. Preceding him in death was a sister, Margaret Klobertanz. Surviving is his wife of 17 years, Robin Butkus; son, Maxwell and a daughter, Sydney; siblings, Al Butkus (Ellen), Rick Butkus, Tim Butkus (Kathy), Rob Butkus (Becky), Mary Pec (Ed), Amy Butkus, and Jenny Maglio (Robert); also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
