Darren Lee Trogdon Stevens

Darren Lee Trogdon Stevens, 42, of 1748 Parks Crossroads Ch. Rd., Ramseur, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. He was a 1986 graduate of Eastern Randolph High School and a 1988 graduate of Central Carolina Community College with a degree in radio and television broadcasting. He was employed at WBFJ, a Christian Music Station and was known as ""Darren Stevens, the morning show personality"". He touched many lives through his many years of ministry on the radio. He was an active member of Holly Spring Friends Meeting in Ramseur. He was involved in many aspects of ministry, including Sunday School teacher, sound technician, member of Quaker Men, Past Clerk of Monthly Meeting and Past Clerk and current member of Ministry and Council. He was also a football official and member of the American Football Officials Association. He was an active member and officer of the Marietta Masonic Lodge #444 of Ramseur. He also loved coaching youth baseball in the Coleridge area. Darren was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer York Trogdon; daughters, Hannah and Grace Trogdon; son, Samuel Trogdon, of the home; father, Steve Trogdon, of Ramseur; mother, Dana Arrington, of Bonlee; aunt and uncle, Arnold and Brenda Arrington, of Ramseur; father and mother-in-law, Elvin and Linda York of Ramseur; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Julie York; nephews, Elijah, Josiah, and Jeremiah York, of Ramseur. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday October 19th, 7:00PM at Pinedale Christian Church, Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem with Pastor Alan Wright and the Rev. Bret Cogan officiating. Darren's family at WBFJ Radio Station will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to The Darren Stevens Family Fund.
