Darrell Dennis

Kernersville – Darrell Dennis, 69, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born on September 23, 1952, in Granville County, NC to the late Ollie Sylvester, Sr. and Christine Mangum Dennis. Darrell was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country proudly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Sherwood Dennis, and Ollie Dennis, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Kimberly Surber, and Monya Burleson (Ryan); five grandchildren, Isabella Surber, Nadia Surber, Blaine Burleson, Breanna Burleson, and Brycen Burleson; four siblings, Betty Dennis, Brenda Levan, Randy Dennis, and Janet Smith; and many nieces.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project is his honor at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
