Darle 'Daryl' Ray Kiger

Mr. Darle ""Daryl"" Ray Kiger, 61, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born in Forsyth Co. on September 26, 1950 the son of the late Howard Ray and Kathryn Butner Kiger. Mr. Kiger was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church during the 1980's and 1990's where he worked with the youth programs and bible study. He remained a member of Bethany Baptist Church through the end of his life. Mr. Kiger retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Kiger is survived by his wife, Donna McLeod Kiger of the home, two daughters, Jaime Wright and husband Scott of King and Kim Wood of Kernersville, two grandchildren, Ethan Wright and Emma Wood, two step-children, five step-grandchildren, a sister, Kathy Marshall and husband Johnny of Winston-Salem, two brothers, Randy Kiger and wife Rose of Winston-Salem and Reggie Kiger and wife Cheri of King and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Mr. Kiger's life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 2, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Jim Newsome officiating. The family will receive friends directly following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: American Heart Association, 202 Centre Point Dr., Suite 100, Greensboro, NC 27409 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
