Daphne Foster Shields

Daphne Shields of Winston-Salem, NC and Holden Beach, NC departed this life to be with her Father in Heaven Friday evening, December 4, 2009. Daphne was preceded in death by her parents, Mollie and Tom Foster of Winston-Salem, NC and her brother Thomas Foster of Greensboro, NC. Those left to cherish Daphne's memory are her husband of thirty years, Koyt Shields; her son Glenn Thrush and his wife Dottie of Greensboro, NC; her daughters, Pam Stephens of Wilmington, NC and Mandy Todd and her husband Patrick of Myrtle Beach, SC; her stepson Randy Shields and wife Debbie of Clemmons, NC; her sister-in-law Margie Foster of Colfax, NC; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many loving friends in Holden Beach, NC. The familyh will receive friends Tuesday, December 8 at 10:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Hayworth-Miller and continue with a graveside service at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of fllowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church Landscape Fund, 2390 Bethel Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Holden Beach Chapel, 107 Rothschild Street, Holden Beach, NC 28462.
