Danny 'Dan' Sherrill Williard

Mr. Danny ""Dan"" Sherrill Williard passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 in Florida. Mr. Williard was born to Samuel Joseph and Edith Hutchins Williard on December 23, 1945. He graduated from Gray High School in 1964. He worked in Marketing and Customer Service Consulting throughout the automotive industry of North America. Mr. Williard was a lifelong member of the Moravian church. He was a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williard was preceded in death by his second wife Susan Isley Williard. He is survived by his daughters Wendy Williard Jenkins (Jeff) of Kernersville and Dana Williard Crummer (David Ross) of Great Falls, VA, the mother of his children, Sue Taylor Casey of Clemmons, NC ; grandchildren Alexandra and Morgan Jenkins, Samuel and Joshua Crummer; a brother Samuel Joseph ""Dick"" Williard of Troutman, NC and significant other, Pamela Caruthers of Lady Lake, Florida. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to Rodolfo Pascual, MD of Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for his friendship and compassionate care of Mr. Williard. In lieu of flowers, Memorial gifts should be sent to Cancer Patient Support Program (CPSP), Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Office of Development, P.O. Box 571021, Winston-Salem, NC 27157-1021. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 5:00-7:30 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Norwood Green and Dr. Jeff Patterson officiating.
