Danny J. Wood

Our kind, loving, and brave warrior battled stage 4 pancreatic cancer for 583 days. His medical team was amazed by his strength and positive attitude. After 19 months, early Sunday morning, December 1, 2024, Danny peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by love. Danny was born on April 12, 1963, to William Allen Wood and Evelyn Steelman Wood in Forsyth County. He was employed by G.D. USA / Cerulean and was a member of Immanuel New Eden Moravian Church. Danny was preceded in death by his sister, Carol. Surviving are his loving wife of over 42 years, Angelia “Angie” Plyler Wood; son, Daniel; daughter-in-love, Katelyn; Grandude’s precious Isla; brother, Wayne Wood (Laurie); special nieces and nephews, Jeff, Christina, Ryan, and Abby; and father-in-law, William Plyler. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, December 6, 2024, at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Sandy Jarvis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 PM, Friday, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care.
