Daniel Shaw, Jr.

Daniel (Dan) Shaw, Jr., 61, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015, at his home, after a battle of cancer. He was born to Daniel Robert Shaw and Alice Wescott Shaw on November 2, 1953. He retired from the United Sates Navy with 20 years of loyal service. He was of the Baptist faith. Dan was a caregiver to Beth's sister, Laurie Spivey. Including his parents, surviving of the home, Beth Spivey Pepper and Laura Spivey; his son, Daniel Robert Shaw, III; his daughter, Crystal Shaw; brothers, Donald Shaw (Debbie), Dennis Shaw (Beth), and Daryl Shaw (Lucinda); and sisters, Della Shaw Herrin (Richard), Dawn Shaw Blackburn (Tim). A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Salisbury National Cemetery with the Rev. Glyn Stewart officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
