Daniel Gray Perryman Sr.

Mr. Daniel Gray Perryman Sr., 72, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born August 2, 1937 in Forsyth County to the late Paul L. and Dinah Evans Perryman. Mr. Perryman was a member of Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. He worked many years at Piece Goods Shop and I.L. Long Construction before his retirement as a carpenter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Pat Perryman, his second wife, Joyce Perryman and a brother, Rudolph Perryman. Mr. Perryman is survived by his wife Carolyn Sue Perryman of the home, a daughter, Lorie Mazingo and husband Douglas of Mocksville, a son, Daniel G. Perryman Jr. and wife Lisa of Bethania, two stepsons, Barney Lee Johnson Jr. and wife Wanda of Lexington and David Johnson and wife Barbara of Mesa, AZ, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one sister, Grace Sapp and husband Wade of Lake Norman and two brothers, Paul Perryman and wife Betty of Midway and Richard Perryman and wife Carol Sue of Rural Hall. Funeral services for Mr. Perryman will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church with Pastor Mary Lautensleger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening Dec. 22, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to; Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church, 6012 Germanton Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
