Daniel Edward DePaulis

Mr. Daniel Edward DePaulis, Sr. 92, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at North Carolina State Veterans Home. He was born on May 27, 1923 in New York, NY to Gervasio and Maria Mistrangioli DePaulis. Mr. DePaulis was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was a New York City Police Officer. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 53 years, Gloria Spaventa DePaulis. He is survived by two sons, Danny DePaulis and wife Pat, Tommy DePaulis all of Winston-Salem; daughter, Nancy Kemper and husband Allan of Clemmons; three grandchildren, Brian DePaulis, Pamela Hipp and husband Jon, and Jessica Kemper; three great grandchildren, Adrianna, Addison, and Raegen. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church with Rev. Carl Zdancewicz, OFM Conv officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
