Mr. Daniel Kaye Alexander, 69, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015. He was born in Forsyth County on December 27, 1945 to the late Corum Daniel and Edna Reese Alexander. Mr. Alexander was a veteran of the U.S. Army and later retired from Stroh's Brewery after 30 years. He was a member of Robinhood Road Baptist Church and was an avid carpenter/woodworker. He sang in the Alexander Family Gospel Group and most recently play the mandolin in the Muddy Creek Bluegrass Band. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Linda Alexander; three sons, Daniel Ray Alexander (Donna), Timothy Wayne Alexander, and Michael Shane Alexander (Tamara); six grandchildren, Kayla Woolman (Wade), Ryan Alexander, Andrew Alexander, Bryce Alexander, Josh Alexander, and Conner Alexander; one great-grandchild, Marley Rae Woolman; also surviving is a brother, Archie Alexander (Wanda) and a sister, Luann Wilmoth. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Robinhood Road Baptist Church with Rev. John E. Hackworth, Jr. and Pastor Paul Doby, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Robinhood Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 5422 Robinhood Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
