Dallie Mae Whitley Vinson

Dallie Mae Vinson, 91, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Trinity Elms Assisted Living in Clemmons, North Carolina. 

She was born on July 13, 1933, in Wilkes County, North Carolina, to Dewey and Loula Yale Whitley. 

Throughout her life, Dallie was a loving mother, grandmother, and mother figure to many others. She enjoyed baking, knitting, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Dallie was always willing to help others and would care for anyone in need. 

She was a long-time member of Woodland Baptist Church, and she always put God first.

Dallie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Francis Vinson, Jr.; brothers, A.C. Whitley, Buel Whitley, Raymond Whitley, and Ray Whitley; and sisters, Ruth Wiles and Virginia Holbrook. 

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert “Bobby” Vinson; daughter-in-law, Janet Vinson; granddaughters, Brittany Vinson and Katlin Williard (Jacob); brother, Jesse Whitley; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel on Friday, January 31, 2025, officiated by Rev. Tim Gammons and Pastor David Hedrick. A burial will immediately follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends the night prior to the service, Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
