Dallas Ray Sutherland

Mr. Dallas Ray Sutherland, 83, passed away on October 11, 2024, at Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 8, 1941, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Charlie Arthur Sutherland and Rachael Westmoreland Sutherland. Dallas enjoyed watching cowboy and Indian shows on TV. He loved animals and music and would often make up his own songs. Growing up, Dallas enjoyed watching and feeding birds. He would always make sure the bird feeders and baths were full. Christmas and seeing Santa Clause were his most treasured time of year. He always looked forward to getting together with his family, sharing a meal and opening presents. In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by one sister, Dixie Sutherland Martin; and one niece, Diane Sutherland. He is survived by three siblings, Faye Georgeff, Robert “Bob” Sutherland, and Debra Bauer; three nieces and two nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Crestview Memorial Park.
