Curtis Dwight Stone

Curtis Dwight Stone, 62, of Winston-Salem, NC went to be with Jesus on February 14, 2013. Mr. Stone was born on April 23, 1950 in Rocky Mount, VA, a son of Curtis Jefferson Stone and Frances Elizabeth Collins Stone who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary John Stone. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church and was an accountant for various companies until his retirement in 2008. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Staton Holbrook Stone; two daughters, Michelle Howell and husband Mike of King, NC and their children, Mason and Matthew Howell and Charlotte Howell and husband Jason of West Jefferson, NC and their daughter Caitlyn Howell; a sister, Linda Rebecca Stone Newell and husband Ray of Elkin, NC; his aunt and uncle, Patricia and Earl Eaton of Winston-Salem, NC; three step-children, Laura Holbrook Hodgin, Susan Holbrook Hunt, Kevin Lee Holbrook; nine step-grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Chad, and Chris Ferris, Noah Willard, Marissa and Gracie Holbrook, and Justin and Natalie Hunt. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Berean Baptist Church with Dr. Ronnie L. Baity officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in King, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
