Mr. Curtis Lentz Shore, 90, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024. He was the oldest of four boys born and raised on the Shore farm in Tobaccoville to the late Hugh Thomas Shore and Beulah Martin Shore. After graduating from Old Richmond High School in 1952, Curtis proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. In 1954 he married his high school sweetheart, Sylvia Speas Shore and would spend the next 65 years by her side. Curtis retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending time outside and, on the farm, gardening strawberries. He also enjoyed restoring antiques. Curtis spent his last four years under the care of Priddy Manor and Village Care of King. In addition to his late wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Hugh Terry Shore. Curtis is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Shore Peterson and significant other, Jim Steele; two brothers, Thomas Winburn Shore (Ann), Benny Ray Shore (Dianne), one niece, Lori Shore; nephews, Randy Shore (Robyn), Steve Shore (Rowenna), and Tyler Shore (Jennifer).  A graveside service will be conducted, 2:00PM Wednesday March 6, 2024, at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Mitch Monroe officiating, and the family will receive friends following the service. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Priddy Mannor and Village Care for their professional care, and to Palliative Care at Forsyth Memorial Hospital, specifically Geniese and Scott.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center Grove Church, 8750 Lasater Rd. Clemmons, NC, 27012.
