Curtis Kirkman Pack

Mr. Curtis Kirkman Pack, 80, of Advance passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Village Care of King. Mr. Pack was born in Patrick County, Virginia on February 8, 1934 to Jim and Ada Goings Pack. Mr. Pack retired from ITT Grinnell Industrial Piping and later began his own business, Pack's Well Drilling. He was an exceptional gardener who enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing. Mr. Pack was preceded in death by his parents; seven sisters, Bessie Horton, Elsie Nunn, Ola McCormick, Dora Bowman, Imogene Jessup, Francis Farris, and an infant sister, Sadie; and five brothers, Sanford, Fales, Clifton, and Tommy Pack, and an infant brother, Riley. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Minnie Pack; two daughters Pansy White (Ricky), of Pilot Mountain, and Peggy Tolbert (Telly Mendez) of Walkertown; a stepson, David Black (Liz) of Walkertown; two granddaughters; two step granddaughters; four great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with the Rev. Grant Atkins officiating.
