Mr. Curtis Allen Lichey, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was born May 8, 1934, in Lynn County, TX to the late Charles G. Lichey, Jr. and Ava Lee McCrary. Curtis was a Certified Public Accountant for around 55 years. He was an avid golfer, a fan of Old Western movies, especially films starring John Wayne, and he loved watching Walker, Texas Ranger. Curtis enjoyed reading his Bible every day, and was a Bible teacher for many years. He was a godly man who was active in his church, Crossroads Assembly of God. More recently, Curtis had made Brookdale Reynolda Senior Living his home, where he enjoyed participating in community activities, leading a Bible study, and making many friends. In addition to his parents, Curtis is preceded in death by his beloved bride, Grace Bulgier Lichey, and son-in-law, Timothy McGhin. He is survived by his sister, Mary Lou Boggus; three daughters: Janet McGhin, Ruthanne Cassidy (Basel), and Melissa Lawrence; nine grandchildren: April (Jason), Rachel (Michael), Holly (Charlie), Meredith, Blake, Canyon, Kelly, Savannah (Blake), and Morgan; and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 13, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Robert Cameron officiating.
